Covid-19 Safety Protocols

At Ridgeway Dental, we have made numerous changes to our office to protect the health and safety of all patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While some dental offices have elected to charge patients a fee for the increased cost of operation, we have elected not to. We believe that we are all suffering through these hard times together, and we do not want to create barriers for those who require care. Your health and safety is our top priority, and we do everything we can to ensure that you feel safe in our office.

We have implemented protocols that exceed the guidelines mandated by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC and the Provincial Health Office:

Screening

We screen all patients before and during their appointments for any risks of COVID-19 infection. Those deemed at risk are asked to wait at least 14 days before coming in for an appointment.

Temperature

Your temperature will be taken on arrival. Anyone with a temperature of over 37.5°C will be denied treatment and referred for testing.

Hand Sanitizer

Patients are asked to disinfect their hands with the provided hand sanitizer upon arrival. Hand sanitizer is also available throughout the office.

Plexiglass

Installed at the reception desk.

Hydrogen Peroxide Rinse

Our provided pre-treatment rinse greatly reduces any viral load in the mouth.

Rubber Dams

Significantly reducing the generation of contaminated aerosols during restorative procedures.

Source-capture Air Purifiers

These are specifically engineered to capture particles directly at the source before they become airborne. They are equipped with a Super HEPA filtration system that eliminates 99.99% of all airborne particles 0.1 microns in size and UV light to kill bacteria and viruses.

Enhanced PPE

Clinical staff are equipped with isolation gowns, face shields, and N95 respirators.
