Dr Kent Huynh

Dr. Kent was born and raised in Richmond Hill, a suburban community near Toronto, Ontario. He graduated from McGill University Dentistry in 2010 with distinctions in the top 20% of the class, while receiving awards in endodontics and prosthetic dentistry. Following dental school, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut and went into private practice thereafter. He has been practicing dentistry full-time since graduation, and has worked in Connecticut, Toronto, and Vancouver under the tutelage of some of the leaders in the dental community. In 2019, he was chosen by Dr. Edward Ng to inherit his dental practice and continue his legacy.

He has completed a comprehensive mini-residency in implantology, and continues to advance himself through continuing education in the fields of functional occlusion, prosthetics, and oral surgery. He believes in educating his patients to make the right choices for themselves, and to provide them with quality dental work that will last.

He is an active member of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, Canadian Dental Association, and the British Columbia Dental Association.

Along with his wife, he settled down in Vancouver in 2016 to fulfill a dream of living in the west coast. They have 2 small children together, a boy and a girl. Life can be busy with the kids, but during his time off, he enjoys playing tennis, cooking & eating, snowboarding, and his passion, fishing. During the fall, you will find Dr. Kent on the banks of the Vedder river searching for that trophy salmon.
